Mom's 78 Mark V

My 82-year-old mother is selling her 1978 Continental Mark V. I have checked ads on the Internet for comparable cars and they are all over the map -- anywhere from $1,000 to $30,000. I want mom to get a fair price and I want to sell this classic to someone who would appreciate it. I would be grateful for advice on how to price it and market it.

Additional information, we are located in Washington State. The Mark runs fine and is in "good" shape. It has been modified to run on either gasoline or propane. It would need some restoration to return it to mint condition. Less than 100K miles. Really! Thanks.

RE: Mom's 78 Mark V

Thanks. $300 is lower than I expected, but you provided two pieces of useful information. I hope a couple more people will reply -- to either confirm your estimate or to give me another perspective. I appreciate your input.
