Cd player problems

Recently when playing my cd player a message came up saying Cd error and it stopped playing. And after that it won't turn on again and the power antenna won't go up ethier. what could it be? I checked the fuse for it and it was fine. what else could it be?

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the ground cable but still doesn't work. Any other ideas? Its a 93 with the JBL system with 10 disc CD changer.

Rather than remove the ground cable, I unplugged the CD changer for about 10 minutes. BLAM! Worked like a champ.

Guess I could've read the whole thread before replying. :)

Nonetheless, it worked and I didn't have to remove power from the other systems.
