control arms............

If I understand this correctly, I need to buy control arms for a t-bird since my mark has been converted to coil suspension? Are they hard to change? I really don't want to pay for labor too if I can change them myself. :D

you can buy mark VIII or t-bird arms, but since you do have coils, the t-bird arms will be cheaper. they are not very difficult to change, but make sure if you do it yourself you immediately get an alignment after you are done or you'll be putting tires on it too.

So like a 95 thunderbird will work?

Are there any special tool that I might want to grab? I'm thinking about tackling this, this weekend. Do I need a spring compressor of will the wheel hang down far enough to take the tension off the spring?

No you don't take off the spring man! The spring stays in the strut. :D You don't even have to remove the strut if you're just doing the uppers.

Look...I did a search. :D

Basically, you'll need an 18MM wrench and an impact gun (or buff arms) with a 14MM(?) socket.

....extra dexterity is also required to get to that driver's side nut!!!!

Ya, I couldn't find those pictures I posted for you Bud, do you remember where that thread it?

Sweet. Thanks guys. I've had the front wheels off my car a dozen times, but I've never really paid attention to the suspension. Sounds like something I can do in a few hours. :)

No Jesse, I don't, but they really didn't help me that much....My passenger side was harder of us as the dang trans dip stick tube was in the way and we weren't about to put that thing again!

What was helpful was just knowing what size wrenches to use!

the pass rear nut is blocked by the ac evaporator can, tranny dip stick shouldnt have been in your way as it sits back closer to the firewall, but the evaporator can can be pushed over just enough to get a wrench on the nut.
