AC Mix up

While changing the blend door this weekend, I inadvertantly pulled out the yellow vacuum line. Now all of my air is blowing through the defroster. Since I have everything buttoned up, do I have to pull everything back out to reconnect that line? Or can I reach it and connect it with my hand?

If at the rear of the EATC, you can pull that and should be able to access it enough to reinsert in the connector.

The yellow line is still connected at the rear of the EATC unit. Wherever the yellow line goes to is where it came loose. Do you think that will be reachable?

I'm unsure, but it only takes 5 minutes to pull the EATC vs. half a day to pull the dash. ;)

According to the 1998 Service manual, the connection is for the defrost motor which is right in the front of the evaporator case, so you should not have to remove or move the instrument panel at all. You may have to remove the radio, so have the radio removal tool or make one out of a coat hanger like I did.
