Wiper Blades

Has anyone tried installing a longer wiper arm/blade on the driver's side? There is a lot of windshield that the OEM called for size does not reach...esp at the top of the windshield. I am going to purchase an arm that is about 1 inch (maybe 2) and see if I can get that area a little better. I can't remember where...maybe it was the Gran Marquis... had a longer blade on the drivers side than on the passengers. Would appreciate any input from anyone that may have tried it. Thanks.

RE: Wiper Blades

I change out a lot of wiper blades as I work part time at Advance Auto parts, and found often that the customers have the wrong blade on their car. Probably due to not having the correct size the last time they were changed so they put on whatever they had. In any event the blades for your Gen ll are Trico # 22-1 (2 required @ $9.45 ea.) These are their all around Exact Fit blades, prices go up from there. Hope this helps. :)

RE: Wiper Blades

I know what size we take, but I want to INCREASE the lenght to like a 23 or 24 in. instead of the 22 that's called for. I have measured mine and they ARE the correct called for length. ( And it looks like the room is there to use the longer blade/arm.

I simply wanted to know if anyone had tried it and if they had, were there any adverse effects?

Merry Christmas!
