I have an issue with my Mark VIII door closing

My door closes physically fine but the display reads it occasionally as ajar and causes the interior light to remain on until I wait it out. I can't tell if its the wire we accidentally cut and spliced back together in the computer (green) but I believe it did it before we did, which was why we cut it. Anyhow, I re-checked to make sure the wire is spliced properly and it is. Now its off again but I fear it will start up.

Common problem discussed here many times, use the search feature to see what other people have done. The most common fix is to spray some WD40 into the latches, the problem should go away.

thanks, I appreciate it, I know the ole 'search' response as I admin 2 of my own forums. But I am used to phpbb and vbull not this layout and was having trouble figuring it out. I looked and looked for pages and pages and got tired and just posted.

So now that we saved you $250 by not having to go to the dealer you can join the LOD for $20! ;)
