I just bought a '97 Mark VIII and after I didn't not realize that the car did not have the HID lights. Someone yanked them out and replaced them with regular Halogen bulbs.
The lights seem very dim and I'm sure part of it is the oxidation on the plastic cover.
Does anyone forsee a problem with the way it's been rewired? I have simply 3 wires leading into the light bulb. There is no ballast anymore. Am I getting the proper voltage to the bulb?
I put in a higher quality bulb with a bluer color but they still look yellow.
I've attached a picture to show. The bulb is the left. There are 2 wires. The top wire is split in 2 so there are actually 3 leads going into the bulb.
