Compressor going when car is off

The other day I parked the car on an un-even surface, it isn't a huge slope or anything just under a tree where there are roots above ground. After about 30 minutes I walked past the car and hear the compressor kick in. But, every morning when the car is parked on level ground I hear the compressor filling up the bags. Why doesn't it automatically do it like when it was on the un-even surface.

It is normal for the compressor to go off after 30 minutes after the car is off.

From the CD:

The control module (5A919) stays powered for one hour after the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position in order to perform leveling corrections when occupants and luggage are removed from the vehicle.

yup, a few of us came to that conclusion some time ago
