Lowered my Mark now seems to ride better

I had the mechanic lower my front end on my 98 to the standard height of 24" from wheel well to bottom of rim. This while he was doing my Tranny Cooler. Now the car sits 24" all the way around at rest. Before it was 25" in the front and 24" in the rear.
Now the car seems to ride better -- sturdier than before. Is it me or is it that the ride was softer because the front was riding higher than the rear?

RE: Lowered my Mark now seems to ride better

Riding better can be subjective. You say it feels sturdier than before. You didn't really drop it that much to make a noticeable difference at least in my experience. Typically though the higher it is the stiffer (not softer) the ride becomes because there is more air in the bags making them less compliant to bumps. There does seem to be window of 1.5 to 2 inches of travel where there isn't much if any noticeable difference. Go above or below this window and the ride becomes progressively more harsh.
