Help With Air Suspension

I have a 93 Mark 8 I had bout it with bad Air struts in the front, I replaced both of them and the compressor and the car picked up in both the front and back. Now Its up, passes the tests, and I get no check air ride messages or anything like that, but the front is much higher then the back I am thinking the previous owner tried to raise the front to make the bags seal and be able to use the car. So I want to know what is the correct height for the car and whats the best way to adjust it. The front is about 2 inches higher then the back but isnt maxed out becasue with the test it did sit much higher before venting. Also I checked the rears for leaks and they were fine I also tried disconnecting the front hoses to the struts and dropping the front then shutting it off and hooking it back up and you can see the front go up and go right past where it looks correct. I like the way it looks with the back about 1/4 inch higher then the front and I'd imagine it would ride smoother too.
Whats everyone think? Im oopen to just about anything.
Thanks
Anthony
