ok i need opinions and what would be best for my mark 8. recently my airbag compressor went. i think to myself im screwe3d, but me and my friends have fallen in love with it on the ground, (yes it is still driveable i just bounce alot and sometimes bottom out). what should i do to the suspension, coilovers or shocks and struts. what would give me the still smooth ride but still looked slammed to the ground.. thanks for all help

RE: help!!!

Replace the busted air components, then lower it via the sensors and you can have it as low as you want.

RE: help!!!

if you wish to swap to coils, you wont find many people here willing to help, as most Mark VIII owners/fans swear by the air ride.

But if you want to know more about coil conversions, feel free to email me
Blackicelsc at aol.com

your choices?

1)repair air ride parts, and sensor lower
2)repair air ride parts and manually adjust air ride with Module8/ASHAM8
3)converter to coils using the 1.5" lowering kit(like I did)

Option 3, you'll end up with this:

the ride is smooth, predicatble, not bumpy, comfy, and you have total peace of mind. You lose: load levelling, adjustability, and the air ride novelty.

this is my buddy Jesse's 95 with a coil conversion...he lowered his 2" and this car sticks like glue, yet he can cruise all day with no sore bones.
