Odd issue with the parking brake light

Today I noticed that if I brake moderately or hard (enough to get the nose to dive a bit), the parking brake light comes on when I release the brake pedal. It doesn't happen if I just brake lightly though. It will stay on for a second or two and then go out. The brakes appear to work normally with no pulling caliper sticking that I can feel. To make things a bit odder, if I take a somewhat aggressive right turn, the light will come on for the duration of the turn and then go out when I straighten the car out, but this is for right turns only, lefts don't so a thing.

Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting this one?

RE: Odd issue with the parking brake light

Most likely just slightly low on brake fluid. But that in itself is telling you the pads are worn assuming you have no brake fluid leaks.

The other oddity can be the return spring in the e-brake pedal assembly could be weak. Pull up with your toe from behind the e-brake pedal and make sure it is fully releasing.
