Hello, just got my Mark VIII ( 1998 ) about 5 days ago and I love it!! Best car I have ever owend, hands down. The car has 80,500 miles and has been well taken care of. I am getting about 17 to 18 mpg around town. I think that's good for a car that size and power. The oweners manual says to change plugs at 100,000 is this right? The car runs good just thinking I should change plugs, wires, and maybe transmission fluid? Or should I waite till 100,000k to do this?

Thanks,
Mike

RE: What to do frist?

I would, and don't forget to change the air filter and tranny filter and use Mercon V fliud. Winter is comming be proactive. Also may want to inspect your hoses and replace coolant as well.:)

RE: What to do frist?

Change everything...sounds like it was well maintained by the previous ownder, but I would have everything changed and flushed just for my own piece of mind.

Thanks all :). I am going to do that this weekend. Better to be safe than sorry. So far I love this car!!!
