driveshaft vibreation question

Is there a difference with the spinning speed of the driveshaft with 4.10's other thean the extra rpm's you will face? I'm wonering because alot of people say they are only around 2,600 rpms at around 60 with 4.10's in o/d. right now with my stock driveshaft if I'm running at around 2,600rpms I get no vibration. so if I don't have any vibration now at that rpm, would it be safe to say that with 4.10's at the same rpm, I'd still have no vibration? I'd really don't want to spend an extra 400 bucks if I don't have to, no matter how great the quailty is.

RE: driveshaft vibreation question

FWIW the '93 driveshaft is not the same as later years and not so prone to vibration. IMO if you have no vibration now at any speed, you may very well not have any concerns. Most who have elected to replace their driveshaft had noticeable vibration at 80mph with stock gears.

I do not have any vibration whatsoever in my '93(stock gears).

RE: driveshaft vibreation question

Zero vibration in my 94 (build date 8/93).....had it up to 100mph this AM.....not a nibble...
