I'm going to detail a friend's 2004 Corvette with a rag top. Is there anything special you recommend to treat or protect the top that I should know?

It's Cambria Cloth, LEAVE IT ALONE! Wash it using a towel, soaked with soapy water, and when you hose it off, have the hose nozzle on MIST ! Never on hi pressure aimed directly at a convertible roof. Allow the air/sun to dry it. If you towel dry it - it will be covered in lint. Don't use a blade (Califonia blade) on it to dry it - just leave it alone. To remove any lint on it, when dry, use a "lint roller" Can be bought in supermarkets. Don't put anything on it. It's cambria cloth! Less is more, in this case. Car washing soap & water from a hose in a mist spray is all it needs. As an '04 it should not realy be too dirty, yet.
