emblem removal on new truck?

Hey bodyshop guys: I would like to remove the tacky chrome and red plastic "Super Duty" emblems from the doors of my new, solid black truck.

Are these just glued on or are there holes in the truck door?

If they are just 3M'd on, how do I get them off without damaging the paint?

Steph, you need to use a heat gun.I dont know if a hair dryer will get it hot enough.

Use dental floss with quick detailer or another good lubricant. Use the piece of dental floss like a saw. Up and down applying slight pressure moving behind the emblem. I have aquired this trick from a dealer detailer and use it frequently with wonderful results. Then just clean the remaining adhesive with bug and tar remover or a similar product. Then after that apply a coat of wax where the emblem was because that area is devoid of all wax products. hope this helps.
