Brake Caliper Coating System

I painted my calipers using a kit from the Eastwood company, I used black but they have several colors to pick from. The kit comes with every thing you need, but you probably can buy all the pieces of the kit separate for less money. The paint is a two part mix and you need to use it in a well ventilated area. You have two hours to apply it so having 4 jack stands or a lift will help a lot.

You can go the Eastwood company home page for more info:

RE: Brake Caliper Coating System

Calipers look good, but dang - I hope you never have to get that hub nut off !! (rusty!)

I just put new front rotors on my T-Bird, and the most obnoxious thing was all the rust that immediately developed on the non-contact parts of the rotors in just a couple weeks. So I took them off, removed the rust, then painted the non-contact areas a primer gray. It looks real good - a perfect offset to my silver Cobra Rs. I can't believe they don't coat those exposed areas with something from the factory...

RE: Brake Caliper Coating System

Well I just used Duplicolor paint,Cleaned the Caliber good, then started coating the Calibers, then went back over them with Clear coat, they match the color of my car which is garnet red,and it is alot cheaper that the Kit,I used the kit on my Motorcycle calibers, and it cost more that what I did on my mark ! just a sugestion. But the kit I bought was from a company in a Ford Mag.
