Wondering about the trim along the doors and part of rear quarter

RE: Wondering about the trim along the doors and part of rear quarter

the trim can be replaced. If you pull it off, there's an indentation in the door where it fits, so it would take quite a bit of bodywork to make it look good.

you could just pull the trim off and repaint it, then reattach it. Pull it away slowly and carefully and it should come right off. You might need some kind of solvent though.

Here's an idea. I did this to my metallic silver 96. I bought a couple of rolls of 1" wide reflective silver tape and covered my strips with it. (Mine are corroded too.) The strips are anodized aluminum and can be polished and clearcoated, but they're a bitch to remove. I got the tape from Mcmaster- Carr industrial supply catalog, and it's also available in green, red, yellow, and blue. It's flexible and stretchable so press into place then trim with an exacto knife. Helps with that " I didn't see him, officer " excuse at night, too. Hehe
