No, they do not separate. The light unit is serviced as a whole unit. There is 3 bolts inside top, and one screw outside at the very back, and the entire unit comes out, for bulb replacement etc.

Yup on the mirror. I have directionals in the lower part of my side mirriors and the lens are kinda cloudy, do they come off so I can polish then up new again.
