Trunk Lock Removal

So I found a new trunk lock door. The chrome piece with the red and chrome lincoln logo that covers the trunk lock cylinder. I just was looking and can't figure out how to get the old one off. IS it worth it to replace. I painted my old plastic piece black and adhered it back to the metal and it looks pretty good, but I like the stock look better. Has anyone changed theirs? If so, how?

RE: Trunk Lock Removal

Zach, the whole 'lightbar' across the trunk needs removed. Peel back the carpet liner, unplug the lamps and remove the nuts securing the reflector housing. Handle the assembly with extreme care as it is long and flexible and weak in the middle. The lock cover then can be replaced easily on a work bench.
