My bike isn't nearly as fast as the 900RR. But it does have one thing the 900RR doesn't -- torque, and lots of it!! The RR has a peak of 63TQ, but waaaayy up at 8250RPM. I have 70TQ, at a mere 6,500 RPM, so on the street you don't have to rev the crap out of the bike, which is why twins are head and shoulders above on the street. I have at least 50TQ right off idle!! So any gear is good, no need for shifting so much. I really do prefer a twin on the street. On the track, the VTR is good for a tight, technical track, but the RR will be quicker, generally. The VTR is a touch easier to ride fast, but the RR ultimately is the better track weapon..
