  • Pinstripes or what?

I have a 96 mark 8 lsc, almost all original with 45k miles. The car is near mint.It is black on black. I,ve changed the wheels to 18 by 9 chrome torque thrusts.I like the black and chrome theme but would like to add something to the body to personalize the car.I,m thinking pinstripes or possibly some other stripes(?).Nothing too gaudy, but something subtle.Any body have any ideas or possibly pics to give me some ideas. All opinions appreciated.

My black 94 has pinstripes, they are kind of hard to see. Here's some shots.

I got one set from driller, and some from Jeremi, years ago. They were the first gen dealer options. They are kind of rare, but I see them come up for sale every once in a while.

If you ever see any let me know.I took my car to the drag strip once this year and it was a pain getting the rubber off the rear quarter panels.

not a fan of the pinstripes on a black car, myself. But with the LSC monochromatic look and chrome wheels, I see your dilemma.
              Is it tinted?
My 94 (obviously not LSC monochrome) had just the right amount of chrome on the grill, window surround and wheels. No pin stripes, dark tint, etc. I blacked out the body-side moldings using 3M tape and painted the grill black but yea, a Gen 1 LSC in all black is tough to "break up all the black".

I am a huge fan of tint...both for sun protection and night driving as I abhor headlights blinding me from behind even with self-tinting mirrors...especially in a car that sits so low with today's LED/HID lights on other cars.
Besides, the fish bowl look is just not right to me.
I even tinted my mercury grand marquis.

Black Gen 1 and 2 LSC's NEED the right wheels to break up the solid color...I saw a gen 2 LSC in back where the owner actually installed a base model headlight lower chrome and trunk/tail light chrome and had a nice set of chrome 18" speedstars...it looked great.
But on a Gen 1, you already have that chrome up front and out back.

Pinstripes are nice on some colors, IMHO, but I dont care for them on a black car.

                  MY 94 = no pinstripes

                  MY 97 LSC with pinstripes

MY 98 LSC = NO pinstripes

My LS C is black with gold double pinstripe from the front to back upper. It looks nice even with the chrome directional wheels. I am trying to figure a way to bring it out more with maybe gold touches somehow on the wheels or brakes.

The only problem although the black and gold theme looks really nice! It goes over well to Steelers fans and I root for the Redskins. When I go to Carlisle I don't know what might happen! Lol (I hope a touch of humor is ok in these forums)
