New tires finally installed on the MarkVIII

Well, I finally installed some new tires on the MarkVIII this weekend. I picked up a brand new set of Faulkens from our good friend Jim Prince (Gaspeddle). Thanks Jim for keeping these treads for me.

The tires were brand new, still had lables and shipping info attached. I had them installed and balanced and off I went. I like the ride, I like the way they look and I like the price.

Which Faulkens did you buy? And are they quiet? I'll be looking for new tires (to replace the old Michelin MXV4 Energy ones), and I'm looking for a whisper-quiet replacement...

I have no complaints as far as noise is concerned. But it may be a personal choice issue. Apparently, Yokohama ASVDB is supposed to be designed to exhibit very low road noise characteristics.

I realize that the Faulken's are not necessarily top of the line tires. But, the car is 6 years old and the price was right. I don't push it that hard either as I'd like it to last a few more years.

As for the Faulkens, so far so good... I'm happy with them.
