Has anyone heard of vehiclenote . com? Someone asked me to send them a report on my Lincoln and I don't want to add a vin until I know there isn't some kind of negative from this site. Thank You

Funny. I clicked on this thinking you were questioning the legitimacy of /this/ site.. :D

I'm not brave enough to plug a vin in there either (or bring it up in anything other than an Incognito tab..) I did find this article though. It doesn't reference that site specifically, but it references the scam they might be running.. Basically, you plug in the VIN, and the site charges you money before you can see any kind of results.

Or this one, where they suspect the site is a way to steal your credit card info outright..

you're a brave soul, Chris. Doin' the hard research so we don't have to. :)

Thanks Chris, i appreciate the attempt. The guy was persistent also, kept saying it wasn't right for him to buy a car without it and that he would pay me back.

So give him the VIN and let him pay fir the report or just use CARFAX and be safe. (I hate this black on grey type, can't see a thing I'm doing(
