  • air ride question

I understand when you park your mark, shut it off and open the door it drops 2 inches. Is this right?Reason I ask is id like to sensor lower my car,but I have larger wheels and tires and worry they might rub.I figure if I park the car,let it lower, turn the air ride off and drive it around I should find out when I hit bumps.

I think the only place to really worry about would be tire clearance at the rear fender "lip." Keep an eye on those, and you should be good to go.

On mine with 19's, for example, I'm kinda hozed if I ever blow a rear bag.... I have a definite interference problem there.

The drop is only .8 inches and happens at highway speeds too.

Don't waste your time... the tires will rub and you'll end up cutting them. Ask me how I know.

Roll the fenders or don't lower the car.
