  • High rpm question

So working on the choke cable controlled intake runner setup i was told that when the engine reaches 3k rpms and the runners open more fuel is added, if i remove the component and manually operate them would i still be gaining power?

Technically, you would want to close them to gain torque. You don't necessarily "gain power" when they open but you will have less torque at lower rpms with the open runners. I've not heard of anyone controlling them manually but I suppose it could be done.

I don't intend to keep them open all the time but I have faulty electrical that the controller doesn't work well. Wasn't sure if when the controller opened it it sent a signal for more fuel. I've heard of people ziptying them so I'm assuming it should be good
