After searching the tirerack.com a couple of times last week, I decided to get new wheels and tires. The chrome MHT forged wheels on the Mark VIII when I purchased the car last year are excellent quality, but look dated and are not aggressive looking.

The wheels I purchased are 17" inch ASA AR1's, one piece silver painted with machined lip, and rivets. The tires are Sumitomo HTR Z III, 235/55/17, "Y" speed rated, "max performance Summer" tires.

Looks great! Is the ride on those tires nice?

Trixie, I was concerned how any change in the wheels and tires would effect the ride, but it turned out very well. The tires are 55 series, and since these tires are a little wider, 235's, the sidewall height is just a little less than the stock tires. So far I notice just a slight difference in the ride, but the tradeoff of getting much better handling tires is well worth it. The tires are also "Y" speed rated so they are extremely durable.

In city driving, I'm noticing a few more bumps, and in highway driving the ride has actually improved.
