  • Base wheels cleaning

What is the best way to clean my 93 base wheels? Mine are kinda orangish.

Sonax wheel cleaner, a toothbrush, and lots of time.

Do note though, I've seen that stuff damage the balancing weights from time to time. I'd avoid those areas if you can.

          Yikes!

For the record, the Sonax stuff is "spray on, rinse off" but given your description, and now, photo, I figured it would take a little manual labor.

For what it's worth, the "snowflake" wheels that you have actually can clean up really nicely. They're a lot of work, but look good.

Those wheels have clear coat on them, make sure the cleaner is safe for clear coat.
