  • Service Engine soon light 97 Continental

The Service Engine Soon light just lit up on my 97 Continental, I am assuming it is from an oxygen sensor, how do I check codes to make sure that is the problem? Is there a way to have codes flash on the dash or should I just go to AutoZone and have them check it for me?

Virtually any parts store will read the codes for free.

Alternatively, you could pick up one of those little Bluetooth OBDII readers online for ~$15, and use the app "Torque" on any Android phone. It'll read codes, as well as status on most of the various sensors.

I have one of those Bluetooth adapters, and like Mike said, I just use my phone to read and clear codes.
