I can let you slide with the Valvoline John. but Fram?! ::wtf::

Of course at 2000 mile intervals, who's to say. But then that flies in the face of Valvoline Max Life, doesn't it? ;)

Sort of.
I'm more of a ten-winter-forty guy so the manufacturer doesn't move me as much as the price and availability. The last two times that I've needed to stock up (I buy only cases) I found the best name brand price to be the Valvoline Max.
Check out my "funnel". My previous three or four cases were the CASTROL HIGH MILER and that too was on sale for 10W-40s. My 1989 was NOT well cared for before she came to me so I know the rings are not long for this world (evident when I smell the used oil and my exhaust). Anyone's high miler in a 10W-40 flavor has worked well for me.

With a fleet like yours John, perhaps you should buy bulk oil in drums? ;)

Seriously, if you can settle on a brand/viscosity - at the very least you should be able to buy bulk in 5 gallon containers from a wholesale distributor. I know at work we get oil 30%-40% or more below retail cost. A small hand pump can then be had to mount atop the bucket.

Now THAT is a thought. I initially thought that you were refering to the 250 gallon tanks with legs and vent lines and float balls and such.

Deleware County in Pensylvania is completely developed with approximately:
25% privately owned homes
25% apartments
25% commercial
25% municipal

The fives I could buy and store ijn the shed nicely. As Of now, I'm the only one driving my cars so the annual mileage is sort of spread out amoungst the 88,89,90,and 76 with the 89 being the daily driver. When the cars need a change in the winter, I seek Jiffy Lube and walk them through the process.
