Well that sucked, we lost power Saturday night and finally got it back on Wednesday night. First night we all camped out in the living room and i had the new insert going. But with no power there is no blower on it so it is not as effective. 2nd night i go and get a power inverter for the car and run a power cord from outside through the garage up to the insert and it got the blower working. Next day we found out the people on the other street had power. So our neighborer who had power came over and hooked up his generator. One of the neighborers is an Ex JCP&L (the power company) engineer, said one of the 3 fuses at the substation was blown, that was it. That is why he had power and we did not. Took jcp&l 5 days to replace a fuse. JCP&L sucks. when i had PSE&G (other power company) for 40 years i never lost power this much and for this long.
Lost countless trees and branches, including most of our nice mature trees in front, i hope they recover.

Some photos
Started out looking nice
But the trees had their leaves and this was a very heavy wet snow so they broke
The next day showed all the damage and beauty
The heavy snow turned this tree upside odwn
just the phone wire
with all the trees gone i got my view of Newark, Jersey City and NYC back in the distance
