I got him at about 8-9 weeks.He was 15 lbs.Now at 16-17 weeks he is right around 40 lbs.
I think he will be around 80-90 lbs.If the heeler in him keeps him from getting BIG my girlfriend wants me to get a great dane.

(I hope he gets plenty big, the house I'm getting ready to buy doesn't have a big enough yard for a great dane.And I cant really justify a bigger house just for a dog.)

My sister has a dwarf hamster. I've got to say that is one of the best, and cheapest pets on the face of the planet. They're actually cute and unoffensive looking. Not at all like mice or gerbils. Valerie comes over and takes her out constantly. I've never seen anyone gather such amusmenet from watching a little furry thing walk across my keyboard. =) I think I'll get her one for her birthday. :)

Here's our protector, and Service Dog Dax,CGC,SchH1,DH,Bh .

His "real" name is Appleridge's Honourable,CGC,SchH1,DH,Bh
The titles you say after his name are earned titles...much like the honour of having "Phd" after your name.

CGC=Canine Good Citizen

SchH1= Novice Schutzhund (Shutzhund is the German word for "protection dog") qualification in tracking, obedience, and protection.

DH= Service Dog

Bh= Traffic Steady Companion Dog

We cannot place a true value on Dax, as he is such a huge part of our life. He has been estimated at over $10,000 in value. We have health insurance, life insurance, and liability insurance on him. ($1,000,000) We have no children, so he is our kid if you will. We are exceptionally attached to him, and love him so much!!

We also have a couple of fancy rats, that we're originally food for the snake. They now amuse me while I'm working in my office.
