Well my mark spit out code 402. "Excessive EGR flow detected". So i'm wondering what i should do, should i just pop in a new EGR sensor? or is there more to be done like cleaning the EGR tubes etc etc? Or is this linking to some other "bigger problem"?
Try checking your EGR tube coming off of the driver's side manifold. See if it is rusted through/broken/has any holes in it/etc. It's that accordian-tube like thing. Sorry I can't be more descriptive!
Excessive EGR flow could mean a stuck EGR valve ...
Unluckily, anything EGR related is a PITA on 1st Gens.
You will have to take off the cowl assy to just see
the valve, let alone inspect or replace it.
