Sad part is that they are ON the Cadillac Board. That's where I found them. They like it over there, but are not happy with the FWD, nor with the 6 Cyl. motor. Some say it recalls Oldsmobile styling...
They want it RWD and with the Mustang Cobra motor with choice of 6-Speed Manual or 4-Speed Automatic, with a four wheel drive option.

Agree that it looks great.

Now make it a coupe, give RWD and the lightning drivetrain and I'm sold.

RE: ALL NEW LINCOLN ZEPHYR PHOTOS REVEALED

little Audi looking, but FWD? and 6Cyl??

hmmm... there better be a RWD V8 option!

RE: ALL NEW LINCOLN ZEPHYR PHOTOS REVEALED

I like the looks, but i'd like to see a better shot of the rear end.

Looks like a nice little car, and i hope they sell a lot of them. But i won't be buying a FWD V6 anything, myself.

Funny how some see it as Oldsmobile style, others see a little BMW and yet others see Audi. Maybe we see what we want to see? Personally the flat side view and the "C" pillar look Diamante 100% to me ! The rear looks totally unique, and the front says Lincoln. At first, I thought that it was a restyled "LS" (Still think THAT is what it might be....)
For the person who wanted to see more of the going away view....

I see Lexus all over the ass end of that "thing". I also see "Audi" with the flared fenders, and rounded hind-quarters.

Lincoln needs to get rid of the "wagon wheels" too. Ugly, and bland.

If that car had a 300-hp mild V8(like a big Euro sedan), and the luxury of a Town-car, all wrapped up in one neat mid-size package, it wouldnt be bad, but 6 cylinders, and WRONG wheel drive will make it very un-attractive to me.

And, if they engineered/built this thing the way they did the '03 towncars, then it will be dead before it hits 100k miles. But, at least with it being FWD, they wont have to worry about that recall on rear differentials that might hit this summer. So far, on our 5- 2003 T-cars, all with less than 100k, we have 4 that needed new tranny's , and 3 that destroyed the rear axles/differentials with less than 70k miles, and 3 that had major electrical/under-dash wiring problems.

Whatever they did to the towncar will kill it as we know it. Lincoln Fleet has issued a newsletter to the industry stating that they have lost over 70% of their clients due to faulty craftsmanship/engineering of the new car. That's 7 out of 10 Lincoln owners will not buy another Lincoln. (Sorry Sandy, I told ya so)

None of the pictures I see anywhere shows a direct side view...is there something unpleasant when viewed from the side? 'Guess it doesn't matter - like someone else said, unless they make a RWD V8 Coupe I'm not interested...

I agree with the lexus back end (gs300 i think)? I still like it even though it's not RWD and should be. If you want some extra fun shift to reverse.

RE: ALL NEW LINCOLN ZEPHYR PHOTOS REVEALED

I kinda like it. But give it AWD and 250HP and it's more appealing...

I don't hate the exterior, but don't like the interior.

I personally think the direction car manufacturers have gone now, (UP apparently) is not attractive. The tall, chunky and non-aerodynamic look goes against all that is good. Think about the look of a Corvette or other expensive performance vehicle; they don't require a step-rail to get into and you drive from a comfortable reclined position.

I fell in love with the interior of my car before the sheetmetal. I love the ergonomics; I can reach the radio without leaning way forward, and can adjust the mirrors in one attempt since I can reach the control comfortably, I love how the dash curves into the doors and how the lines flow cleanly from behind me on the left, across the dash, and out of my view on the right. It doesn't draw my attention to the car when I need to be driving. The center console continues in the same manner. I can enter the car without hitting my leg on the lower "corner" of the dash, which is a problem for me in my much larger, higher truck.

The exterior of our cars is sung to the same tune as the interior. It "flows." Not abrupt corners or choppy edges. Some car models have a particular angle from which they look absurd or ugly, but not the Mark.
