Now my AIR BAG light is blinking a pattern of 44.(4 blinks, pause 1sec, 4 blinks)

Anyone know what/how this is, and to fix?

Thank you.

DTC 44- RH Primary Crash Sensor not mounted to the vehicle properly.

"RH" = passenger side.

"not mounted to the vehicle properly" = usually means a bad ground.

Remove the mounting bolt, give it all a good wire brushing to remove corrosion/rust and remount.

You folks must either: have nothing better to do; Have great resources; Or used to work for Ford...:D

You're all MKVIII Geeks!:p How do know these things?!?!?!?:eek:

Just for that, Im not gonna ask where da heck this ground wire is. IM GONNA FIND IT MYSELF!!! (in observation of opposite day!:D

Way to go complain about getting help :p!

No wire, just a sensor on a metal bracket fastened to the front of you car. ;)

There is a harness (white) connected to the little black box with an arrow saying forward on it. The passenger side looks fine, BUT, the drivers side is busted out in the back and rust has started.

R we sure that code 44 is for the passenger side sensor?
Otherwise Im gonna remove, wire, spray and re-mount.

(lol "re-mount")
Here's what it looks like:

Hmm quick math... 100 crash sensors 2 per mark ... 50 Marks :p and those are the ones without frontal damage... darn Jamie how many did you part out ? lol

To get back to the topic.
I would pick up a new sensor that one doesn't look too solid.
