Has anybody replaced his radiator fan motor?

Not the assembly, but just the fan. I ordered a motor from O’Rielly’s and only paid 100 bucks. However, the fan has to be inserted into the plastic fan holder and the fan blade installed. The blade doesn’t look hard to do, but the three rivets (?) holding the fan motor onto the plastic assembly look like they are not your plain, jane, everyday rivets. They look like steel carriage bolt with no nut.

Do you drill them out or cut them off or what?

Does anybody have any experience with this operation?
