I know on my old mark viii I somehow was able to get the code when my ABS light came on and find out which sensor was bad. I've searched and cant seem to find out how to do that can someone please send me a link

Unfortunatley, the 98 is OBD 2 and you have to use a scanner to read the ABS codes.

I'm not sure but an auto parts store might read the codes for you. They would have to have a scanner that does ABS though, not just engine codes.

I was wondering about that cause My scanner wont even link to the car. I wouldnt swore on my 97 I read it but doing something with the key

I know I checked my 94's by jumping a pin on the ABS diagnostic port to the negative of the battery and counting the ABS light flashes with the key on.

The 98 and 97 don't even have that ABS diagnostic port.

I'm not sure about the 96.
I'm never sure about the 96 though.:D

If your car won't connect, check the cigarette lighter fuse.
