Is Your Car a Cop Magnet?

LOL @ Buicks being all over the least ticketed.

¨Oh.. Why Officer... I am truly sorry. Was my Rachmaninoff too loud for public comfort? Let me just turn that down..¨

I don´t know about being ticketed, as I have never gotten one in my TC, but I face an amazing bout of discrimination, thats for sure.

One jerk at the Gas Station could not believe I had used pump 3 because the bill for it was only 35 dollars.

Him: ¨Sorry, I jut had heard they were pretty bad that way.¨

Me: ¨They are good on quite a lot of things. Want to see the trunk space?¨

Jesse, is there any truth that cops are more likely to give out tickets to out-of-state drivers since they probably won't go to court to fight it?

Honestly...there are cops out there that are like that. Its a personality thing....I have yet to write someone from out of state for simple speed/crossing out of carpool type stuff.

So I say it does happen, but I don't think most Officers think that way.

J?

You're right Barry...it just depends on the Officer. I think Mike's already turning out like one of those...huh Mike? :p

Oh it happens. I had an escort to the magistrate's office in TX once. LOL

Ummm.....lmao...."Refusal to Sign"! Did you win?!

That sounds like the Eastern shore of Virginia in the '60's.... AAA had the area on it's "DO NOT DRIVE" list! Navy people paid dearly there going home on weekends.... VA to NY

Strange. So you got arrested, got taking to the court, paid your fine for speeding, and went home with no points or any extra charges?

There was no arrest but there was no leaving without paying! It was more like a plea deal. I could have contested but I would have to post bond and they would set a court date. Of course with no plans to return to the area, there would be no one at court, I would forfeit the bond, they would then assess points and issue a warrant. As it was, I paid the fine (in cash) to the magistrate and continued on my journey, albeit poorer from the experience.

How did you get to the court house? In cuffs? In Cali, you're eccentially arrested, with no punishment because its your request, and taken to jail, where you'll sit until the next day when court is in session. :)

Ahhhh, the good ole days - when cash was king and a credit card was for rich people. LOL Trust me, I know why they wanted cash! I guarantee you there was no official record of the transaction! LOL ;)
