Cool OBD2 software

In the other discussion thread about Moose's tranny and towing it was suggested that I keep an eye on tranny fluid temp. The program DashCommand was brought up for the iPhone. I bought the software $9.95, the ECM WiFi module $25, and then the 1997 Ford PID package for DashCommand for $9.95. I have to say, this is one cool piece of tech! Their website is www.palmerperformance.com/products/dashcommand

I can read and clear trouble codes, create gauges, set parameters, style, and so much more. I made one gauge set with just the tranny and coolant temps and it works flawlessly... well except for the fact that it's says I'm putting out 6 HP, I'm sure I need to tweek something there. Pictures attached.

One question for the experts, what range do I set the tranny temp gauge and what is considered normal and excessive temps? I have it set to a max of 300 with a warning at 250 but I'm sure that's all way too high.
