I am trying to troubleshoot a brake light/shift lock problem. All of the fuses are good. The BOO is operating correctly because when I step on the brake, the neon light and the hi mount brake light comes on (the two outside fender corner mounted lights do not. I am NOT getting power to C288/PIN 19 of the SCIL. This tells me that somewhere between the junction that splits out for the hi mount break light and the SCIL there is a short or corrosion (S419 or S2000).
S419 is listed as Body Main Harness Near Trunk Lid Lamp Breakout
S2000 is listed as Main Harness Behind Left Kick Panel.
What exactly am I looking for? Is S419/S2000 a pin on a connector, a breakout board, or what? Where is the "lid lamp breakout"?
Any help would be much appreciated.
