I painted the parking brake, brake pedal bracket and PCM bracket after the de-rusting.
I kind of hate to put them back where they won't be seen.![]()

You can't see those parts now.
I put the dash in today. I carried the dash into the car on my shoulder, because I didn't have access through the door while it's in the garage. It's kind of heavy and bulky.
It worked out great though, I easily set it down vertically, on the carpet, in the back seat area, and worked it into position from there. Of course, I couldn't have done that with a hardtop.
It's my grey dash for now, I might be getting a black one, or painting it in the future, I'm not sure yet.

I finished up connecting the dash harness.
I ran into one connector difference between the 93 and 94.
The 94 dash harness has a grey 8 pin connector, the 93 had a black 12 pin connector.
The wire colors are the same, so I just took the connector off the 93 dash and re-pinned it on the 94 dash harness.
I'm guessing no one ever ran into this problem before.
Since I don't have a 93 manual, I just used these photos when I re-pinned it.![]()

I've got a 93 EVTM if you want to borrow it.
Love the bracket restoration Bill, looks great!

Thanks Eric.
I'm hoping this will be the only difference that I run into. I'll be sure to ask you for a look into the 93 EVTM if I run into another one.
I've got the 94 EVTM and for some reason the pinout for that connector, C218, is not even in that manual.

I mean, its OBVIOUS, unless you're color blind....one is for a gray dash, one is for a black dash...DUH!
EDIT...I looked it up:
that connector goes to the thingy that controls the whatcha-ma-call-it, you know, over by the you-know-what...glad you were able to re-pin it, or your whatcha-ma-call-it wont do you know what when you connect that other thing-a-ma-jig.
Nice.

I put the rest of the gubbins and trim in the dash this weekend. I had the black top dash panel and steering column as spares, so I used those in the mix.![]()
