Ahh I had an 01 GTI VR6. I HATED that car! It was nice in some areas but I've had many serious problems with it. Brakes, the engine pulled the threads right out of the drivers side trans/engine mount (IN the transmission) and crushed the engine wiring harness ($1200) and the interior was horrible quality. The 2.8L engine was fair, but could have used some more HP. Also the fiasco with the throw-out bearing was horrendous... all of that aside it was a nice $12,000 dollar car...
