Videos of a spark plug firing issue repair on a Lincoln

I found a couple of videos on YouTube that some may find useful.

The first video shows the mechanic step-through the diagnosing and repair process of a spark plug firing problem on a '97 Continental.

The second and third videos shows the same mechanic taking the repaired Continental for joy ride in a way I am sure it was never intended. :) I must admit I was amazed at what happened to the dime in the "part 1" test drive video.

My fam had a few of those, that body style and the final body style...

They were very nice cars, you could control the suspension firmness, "plush-normal-firm"... were the settings...

plush was like a water bed, firm was probably a little stiffer then a MK8...

The dash was a projection, so the gauges you see aren't really there, just the red needles... if you stick you hand in there the gauges disappear...

I wish I could remember which one was that one that the deer killed, and which one was murdered by a mid 90's Chevy Caprice on the Belt Parkway in NYC...

The one that got hit on the belt was stuck from behind so hard (the Lincoln was probably doing 50) that it buckled the roof. The Chevy had to be doing 80+ The Conti was still drivable, but pretty much bent in half... :frown:

Great cars! If they had HIDs I'd get another one...

I was just thinking I bought a gf one of those, of the last body style, which I at one point drove up and then back down a flight of stairs...

For the record going up the stairs was no problem at all...
Coming back down was a little harder... :D

Good cars!
