Spongy Brakes

While doing my spring conversion I removed my front calipers to have more room to work. Once everything was done, I put everything back together and bled the brakes. The brakes seem hard an firm. The moment I turn the motor on, the brakes get spongy. I've checked all my vacuum lines, and everything seem to be intact. Any ideas?

In bleeding the brakes, did you also bleed the rears? Remember an ABS system is set up with split bias.(Pass. Front, Drivers side rear/Drivers side front,Pass. Rear)

Every couple years I do a complete brake fluid flush on all of my cars, what a difference that makes. The old fluid is usually pretty nasty looking as well, I'm sure it has absorbed tons of water...
