My Lincoln Clock

I'm a bit of a clock collector. I like to get old clocks and fix them for fun.

This one is actually a newer clock. It's a beer drinker clock. The guy on top takes a drink (up to 12 drinks) on the hour and one drink on the half hour.

A friend of mine gave me 2 Lincoln wheel center caps (I'm still not sure what car they are from). My brother suggested that I put one on one of my clocks (we were drinking beer then too:) ).

The cap was close to the original pendulum weight and size. I connected it with a garbage bag twist tie and adjusted it, and it keeps perfect time.

How's it look?

Red X's?

You can't see my photos? They always seem to show up before.

I posted them like I always do.

There were red x's. Sorry. I was trying to fix permissions for the members users files. It is back to normal now.

You should take one of those center caps and drill a hole in the center and go to a hobby store and get a "clock movement" and put it in one of the center caps.. they make KILLER looking clocks!!!

I've seen one or two done before, and they are really cool!
(just a thought from the far side}

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping people wouldn't think that it looked stupid.

No need to be sorry Alexander, We all appreciate you working on the board.

The small clock idea sounds good. I could do it with a cheap pocket watch (I like mechanical movements).

Does anyone know what Lincoln this center cap was from?
