1993 rear bumper cutout?

My dad has 3 marks 98,94,93. The last 10 years that I have seen his 93 which he bought in 97 from an old guy who was the original owner, I just now noticed that the 93 has the bumper cut out with twin chrome tips (2 for each side don't know what its called) My dad said he did not change out the rear bumper or added the chrome tips but it is the typical single exhaust. I thought the 93 did not have the rear bumper cutouts... Did they? We ran a carfax to see if the original owner had any rear colision. But no accident reported. Its a mystery and do you guys think that it could possibly be original?

What was the born on date?

Perhaps it was a late production '93?

The bumper was modified. There were no cut outs until 95.

its not original. no 93's or 94's came that way. its easily changed, this is my 93 that i did myself with a 96 bumper:



and this is another 96 bumper i put on my buddies 93 before i repainted his car.



my guess is, as easy as it is to do, someone must have done it before your dad bought it.

Well I guess that his car is unoriginal now.
