Its not mark oriented but its great reading. The guy seems to have a talent for the written word and his stories are easy to follow. I've spent countless hours reading up on his site and learned a thing or two about cars in general. His site is about NSX's which is cool for me since it's one of my favorite cars.

Check it out for some good reading.

--Geez this is my second time having to post new threads twice. What's going on with this forum? Ya'll arent seeing two new threads of the same name by me are you?

Its great to see that some Lincoln people read Doug's stories.

Did anyone read about OTC? -chapter 96? I was there with my roomate's rx-7.

The event was a blast( 7 tracks in 7 days). It was very tiring. Everyday we seemed to get 3-5 hours of sleep, be at the track at 7, race till 5 and then drive 400 miles to the next track.

We got 2nd place in our class losing to a pro driver that was hired to drive for the event. We would have won had they not hired a ringer.

One day in Vegas we had faster times than Doug's s2000 which was in the class faster than us.

Wow, small world. No, I havent read ch. 96. I just checked it for the first time in 6 months the other day and havent had time to read. I've been reading his site for about a year and a half now. He's got some great stories.

I've always wanted to go to one of those races. Last race I went to was years ago at Texas Moter Speedway. Saw tons of Farrari's and many other types of cars racing and was a ton of fun. It would be more fun then I could Imagine to go to one of these events.

You should go! Take the lincoln and join group the beginers group. If you dont want to take your lincoln there is always a "rental neon spec class"

Or come out to CA to one of our events. We'll put you to work.

Well off to ordering tie-rods and control arms for the mark VIII. I dont think the old ones can handle the race tires that are going on it next month( just a hint now but I'll post more later and hopefully in-car video)

Here's a quick pic of the rx-7 during otc. Not the fast way around....

I dont know of any beginner classes around here. I've never looked into it as the closest track is near austin. I imagine there are some classes though.

I def. want to make it out to one of those events though. Keep me informed.
