dB Drag racing is pretty fun to watch. I know on car in particular that has electromagnets to hold the doors shut. THe point is basically bragging rights. Some might think that spending hous a day waxing a car is pointless, shine is shine, but to you, it's a fun hobby, and you enjoy it to it's fullest. Same with car audio. When I see a wall of 4 solo X's like in Micheal Hughes van, I think it's beautiful...

It's not that you can't let the sound out, quite the opposite in fact. If you have your doors or windows down, you usually gain SPL, however it is illeagal by most organizations. The reason they try so hard to hold everything down is because rattling decreases SPL (wasted energy).

In the right box, the DD 9515, 9917, Kicker Solo X, RE XXX's, Adre Audio Brahma, Strokers, Many others. Keep in mind the reason many subs only handle 750-2000 watts is because of heat. Playing music over a long period of time creates tremendous heat and the sub melts. But if you're only doing it for 5-10 seconds at a time, the heat isn't as much of a factor, and you can give more power.

well i guess DJ pretty much handled all the q & a. some of the subs mentioned can handle well over 5000 watt burps.
