RE: Newbe Introduction

Hi again Leo
I am sorry I didnt want a load of posts on Kale's thread..
I live Selden , LIE exit 62 North just south of 347...Are there many LI members, do you guys get together on any regular basis? I would love to meet some club members maybe do a picnic or something...
I have only bought this car two weeks ago , but I have been waiting years to get it...I am an old hot rodder from the 60s and 70s, but I had fallen away do to the lack of power in the new cars...Well Im starting to get the feeling again..Talk to you again..

Hello Antonio in Houston always glad to make an aquaintance...Spent 10 years in Atlanta , love the south too , but born and raised a yank

And Sandy we gotta stop meeting like this....you know Gotta ,for Antonio, I will translate to Texan "Have To" HaHa

PS There are many beautiful Marks on this site but yours is
one of the best Ive seen , cant wait to see it in person

RE: Newbe Introduction

Hey John, Welcome to the club. There sure are A LOT of Marks here on LI, and Leo's is definately a standout. It looks even better in person. I know exactly what you mean by "getting that old feeling again", these Marks will do that to you.
There are automotive meets on Tuesday nights in the "Jillians" parking section of the "Airport Plaza" shopping center on Rte. 110 in Farmingdale. The Plaza is about 5 miles South of the LIE, and abutts Republic Airport. A multiplex cinema and Home Depot are it's anchors. "Jillians" is located in the North East corner of the complex. Lots of us "Boomers" show off their rides at Jillians, and best of all, pretty waitresses selling refreshments work the crowd. Maybe I'll see you there.

RE: Newbe Introduction

Welcome John. Now get to work on a set of sequencers for the 2nd Gen and you can keep your new membership status intact!

RE: Newbe Introduction

Hey wait a sec! John, I think I've seen you on 110 a couple of times in the past right around Adventureland. Do you remember some fool honking at you to say hi in a 2nd Gen Toreador Red? Last time would have been last summer possibly.

RE: Newbe Introduction

Oops your right and Ladies too.
Hope they arn't tracking me down. Cant forget the beautiful Ladies

;)

RE: Newbe Introduction

Hi John, I can't give you an actual start time for Jillians. The miserable weather has had a lot to do with it. Last Tues. (rain, threat of more) I was there about 6:00 and only a few Vettes had arrived. Went back at 7:30 and viewed only a dozen or so cars, and no LODers. I plan to stop by about 6:30-7:00 (weather permitting), my car has LOD decals on the rear windows. I'll keep an eye peeled for your Mark, and if the "Moose's" nose job is healed perhaps we'll get a chance to see a really sweet ride in person.
