Steve,

The web page uses frames, so your address bar always points to the main page. Find the link again, then right-click it and go to "Open in New Window" (or click "Properties"). Then you can copy the URL.

I'd rather have a standalone radio than rely on Windows for my audio entertainment, much less winamp. What do you do when the computer acts up? Take everything apart and sit there for 10 hours trying to fix it? Don't need those headaches.

The install is tight though and it would be sweet to have a computer mounted like that as long as it was reliable. A decent CD/MP3 player and a notebook will suffice for now...

Being the Network Administrator that I am; keeping it running sweet will not be a problem. I'm in love with that setup.

That "Supper Nintendo" has me intrigued. ;-)

That would be a good way to "double" the value of your Mark VIII (LOL). Too bad it wouldn't double the asking price :). I spend too much time on the computer now, much less when I'm driving down the rode. I enjoy turning off the radio and rolling down the window to listen to the exhaust "music" as it is now (ha ha). That is a sweet get up, but not for me.

I got a N64 in my pearl car along with DVD. There are a lot of touch screens out there tha you can use in your car that double as a cd/mp3/dvd player. Adding on a playstation, or any game console is a breeze to do. Tons of people have custom setups like this. But not one that operates off of windows.

I have 8 windows in my truck :p what about Mac OS or Linux? Much more reliable than windows in my opinion, though i've had almost zero experience fudging with linux...

Great Idea I like. But you must make it dual boot between Linux and Windoze server 2003 running Raid 5. Just kidding I love the Idea though. I also agree and think a mac would work better for video and sound. Get a used g4 cube and mount in the trunk or glovebox, then hook up your screen, wireless keyboard, and integrate into the sound system.

Don"t you hate it when you have to press start to turn something off... a Mac-based solution would be awesome...

Yeah! With the mac you could just press a key and the computer would turn on too. Or better yet have the voice recognition security turned on. Then to access the system you would have to say something aloud. People would think the car was like Kitt or something.
